About my study program and faculty

Imagen
My faculty is “Artes centro” and the building, infrastructure and instruments are very deteriorated, for example; the study piano especialy are really out of tune and the keys are loose, al lof that is complicated for the student’s practice, I wounld like to have better conditions. About the infrastructure, we have roofs that leak, and the floor is broken in some sites. The toilets are better tan sometime ago, we have toilet paper, soap and are clean, that is Good, but we have a problema; they are old and are often backed up. I have heard that the shower in the dance bathroom doesn’t have doors…that’s terrible. In the library we have computers, but they are old and outdated. About the curriculum I think it has improved, it is better than the one I had when I started the career, in 2011, at this moment we have more interesting subjects like English I, II, III and IV, orchestral repertoire, musical adaptations, formation of musicians I and II, among others. All these subjects ar...

Time travel

Time travel...I would love to travel to the past, to the time of the dinosaurs and travel through different places of the earth, and different moments of that remote past. I would like to be protected from any being, just to see it as a kind of floating ghost. I would like to do this trip mostly out of curiosity, to see the creatures that once inhabited the earth, and clearly, I would not like to stay there! it is a very strange time and there are no other humans to share with... I would also like to travel to the future, to the limits of mankind's existence, to see what our last epoch in this universe is like. I imagine that future may be far away or maybe not so far away, who knows. I wouldn't like to stay in that future either, because I would be far away from the people I love and besides, if the end of humanity is near, I don't think it would be a very friendly future to decide to stay there. Undoubtedly, many things have been lost in the past that we will never be...

My dream job

My dream job…well, actually, I have been working since 2008 as a violin teacher and playing in musical groups; string duets or quartets; string orchestras, symphonic orchestras, among others… And this was the job that I would had to had since ever…to have these Jobs it’s necessary to play musical instruments, have knowledge of music theory, read sheet music and know how to play different musical styles. To acquire all these skills I study violin since I was 11 years old, in 2001. The salary at my job is good, especially because the working hours are flexible. For exemple, for working 8 hours week on a musical project I earn $400.000, that is better what many people make. Well, even if I have said, in the future I would like to have my own musical proyect as a teacher, my own academy and student orchestra and my own string quartet. If I had dedicated myself to something else, such as graphic design, I would have liked to work for a company like Pixa…that would have been incredib...

The best holidays ever

Imagen
A long time ago, probably February 2010, but I don't remember well; I, my mom and my brother José Luis, alias Pentalis had the best holidays ever.  We traveled to Brazil mainly, but we went to Argentina and Uruguay too. We traveled by airplane, Chile to Argentina and we were in Buenos Aires in a very luxurious hotel, we ate a continental breakfast and I loved it...we ate a lot of pizza too. After that we went to Uruguay only one day. We traveled by "buquebus" to cross the "Río la Plata". Uruguay is a lovely place, but a little expensive. Finally, we took a bus to Porto Alegre, Brazil, we were there some days. We walked around city centre and around of Rio grande do sul, everything was beautiful, the food excellent. Four days later, we traveled to Torres, a wonderful place of Brazil, which has impressive hills on the beach, a lake and a river. On top of that, we finally traveled to Florianápolis, where we found some of the carnaval, there we went to several very ...

Travel dreams

Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Today I’m going to talk about which country I would like to visit, why and other things. Honestly, I would like to visit many countries; USA, Japan, and from Europe, UK, Scotland, Austria, Germany, Italy, France...some like that. I really love to travel and see new places. Most of all, I want to see new places, people and culture.... and try new food! I know those countries are very civilized, have an orderly society and a great history behind, and interesting culture and traditions. I would like to visit nice and fun places, like Disney World in the USA, or the Louvre in France, go to hear the Berlin Philharmonic and try real sushi, gohan and ramen in Japan. I would really like to visit my older brother, who lives in Orlando, Florida; and there maybe try to take some courses or do some specialization. Unfortunately, all these wishes are really difficult to fulfill, because it takes a lot of money, free time and visas TT_TT

My favorite violinist

Imagen
Today I’ll talk you about my favorite violinist, Itzhak Perlman. He’s one of the greatest and most famous violinist of the 20th century and today. His performances are extraordinary and charged with deep emotion and ease. He became ill with poliomyelitis when he was 4 years old, for this reason he must use crutches to move and for this reason he plays violin sitting down (the solo violinist always perform standing up, and in fact it’s practiced standing up, for this many violinist suffer from varicose veins) Also, he have synesthesia, which allows him to hear colors and see music; we can see him talk about it in an interview for Tasting the Universe by Maureen Seaberg. He studied at the Tel Aviv Music Adacemy, before moving to the United States. At the age of 13 he entered the famous Julliard School, where he studied with Ivan Galamian and Dorothy DeLay, great pedagogues in the violin world. When I was a child I listened to many interpretations of Itzhak Perlman, which ha...

Tea

Imagen
I love tea, actually, I'm drinking tea right now writing this blog post. Tea is a cold, warm or hot beverage, as you prefer, but it's more common to drink it hot or warm. It's made with traditional black tea leaves, but it can be made with other types of tea, such as green, white, red and others. It can also be made with herbs such as chamomile, boldo, mint, etc. Another format is the mixed one, for this we need some tea base and mixed with other ingredients such as vanilla, cardamom, cloves, etc.   My favorite tea is the traditional black tea, the simplest, it could be Club in bag. But I like other more special teas such as gray tea and my favorite: Södermalm mix. This tea contains Indian black tea, orange peels, marigold, rose and mallow petals, vanilla sticks and papaya pieces… I love it, and with dark chocolate (or bitter chocolate, whatever you prefer to call it) makes any moment perfect. I prefer tea to other beverages, because I don't like sweet drink...
